Effective Date: 01/01/2025

Last Updated: 01/01/2025

Welcome to Snaplyt ("we," "our," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Snaplyt website builder platform, including www.snaplyt.com, any subdomains, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Snaplyt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
  • You may create an account on behalf of a business only if you have the legal authority to bind that business to these Terms.
  • You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws in your region.

2. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure.
  • Notify us immediately if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.

3. Services Provided

  • Snaplyt allows you to create and host websites using a Snaplyt subdomain (e.g. yourbusiness.snaplyt.com) and/or connect a custom domain.
  • Free sites may display Snaplyt branding ("Made with Snaplyt"). Paid plans may include additional features and customization.
  • We may add, change, or remove features of the Service at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Snaplyt. Specifically, you may not use the Service to:

  • Illegal Activities: Engage in or promote unlawful activities.
  • Pornography & Adult Content: Publish or distribute pornographic or sexually explicit material.
  • Hate Speech & Violence: Post or promote hate speech, harassment, intimidation, or violence/discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
  • Political Activity: Host or promote political campaigns, lobbying efforts, electioneering, or political advocacy.
  • Fraud & Scams: Promote or operate fraudulent, deceptive, or scam businesses — including fake products/services, "get‑rich‑quick" schemes, phishing or impersonation sites, financial scams, or pyramid schemes.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Upload or distribute content that you do not have rights to (copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, etc.).
  • Spam & Malicious Code: Send spam or unsolicited communications, or upload viruses, malware, or malicious scripts.
  • Disruption & Abuse: Attempt to disrupt or overload Snaplyt systems, probe security measures, or misuse the Service in any way.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend/terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Payments & Plans

  • Snaplyt offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, you are buying from Paddle and your payment details are handled by Paddle, not Snaplyt.
  • By completing a purchase, you agree to Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms and Conditions: https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Paddle is responsible for payment processing, invoicing, and applicable tax compliance (including VAT/GST).
  • Paid subscriptions automatically renew. You will be charged between 00:00 and 01:00 (UTC) on the day the subscription period renews. To avoid renewal, cancel at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • There are no refunds or credits for unused subscription periods. Refunds (where applicable) are handled by Paddle in accordance with their Buyer Terms.
  • We may change pricing and subscription features with prior notice. If a price increases, Paddle may notify you and, if required, seek your consent to continue.

6. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent. We offer refunds in specific circumstances as outlined in our detailed Refund Policy.

  • Refunds may be available for technical issues, accidental purchases, or other qualifying circumstances within specified timeframes.
  • All refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] with your account details and reason for the request.
  • Refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment provider, and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.
  • If a refund is issued, your paid plan will be cancelled and your account will revert to the free plan.

For complete details on refund eligibility, timeframes, and the refund process, please review our full Refund Policy.

7. Domains

  • Free sites include a subdomain under Snaplyt (e.g. example.snaplyt.com).
  • Paid users may connect a custom domain. You are solely responsible for registration, renewal, and management of any custom domain.

8. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content:

You retain ownership of all content you upload or post to your Snaplyt site. By using the Service, you grant Snaplyt a limited, non‑exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

Our Content:

Snaplyt owns and retains all rights to the Service itself, including software, branding, designs, and logos. You may not copy, resell, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Termination & Suspension

  • You may cancel your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts, and remove content where:
    • You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use rules, or
    • We are required to do so by law.
  • If your account is terminated, your websites and content may be permanently deleted from our systems.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • Snaplyt is provided "as is" and "as available."
  • We make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or secure.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snaplyt is not liable for:
    • Loss of revenue, profits, or data,
    • Indirect or consequential damages,
    • Damages resulting from unauthorized access, service interruptions, or third‑party services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Snaplyt, its employees, partners, and affiliates harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service,
  • Your violation of these Terms,
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are significant, we will notify users via email or a notice on our website. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
